IE6 is horrible and is the main cause of cross browser compatibility issues with every site I develop. IE6 is holding back designers and develpers from creating modern designs with a lot of CSS. I’m sick and tired of dealing with it and I cant understand why 30 percent of IE users are still using it! Get with the times everyone and upgrade to IE 7 and download Firefox. I’ve always loved the ideas and ways of 37 signals and now I respect them even more as they have phased out support for IE6 from any of their products back in August of 2008! I only wish that everyone else would follow this trend so we can phase out IE6 all together, it sucks!

I’m getting annoyed with web design thanks to cross browser compatability issues, thanks to IE 6, and slowly turning all of my efforts to Chicago SEO as there are not cross browser compatability issues with SEO, not to mention my obsession with SEO.  Anyway, I hope any one who reads this will agree with me and if they or anyone they know are still using IE 6, please STOP and help us all out by doing so!

Chicago SEO companies are holding your links hostage and if they get rid of them you may not even know it! Make sure you know what your SEO company or SEO specialist is doing. If they are getting backlinks for you, make sure you have a list of them or check the status of your backlinks by typing link:http://www.yoursitesnamehere.com into the Google search bar. You can also use the previous technique to check your competitors backlinks and to see what they are up to. People think they are being sneaky with all of their SEO techniques, but in reality it’s all out there for everyone to see. I recently interviewed with a company who outsources their SEO and personally I think that is the worst way to do it in regards to backlinks among other SEO practices.

One of the best ways to get into the SEO game is to start putting up some sites, better yet start a web development company within or along with your own company! It only makes sense. I mean, how hard is it to optimize your own site? It’s not that hard unless you are just too lazy to do it yourself! Everything you need to know is available all over the internet. Take a little time and learn.

SEO is all about relavent high PR links back to your site!! Yes folks, it is that simple. But what’s not so simple is getting those links back to your site. One way to get some solid links back to your site is through posting comments on other blogs by searching in Google for your keyword followed by a space then “post a comment.” Ex. chicago seo “post a comment” and of course the top entries will most likely have a high PR.

It is tedious work but it will pay off. Another way to gain some links is to post multiple comments on High PR blogs with RELEVANT comments, not just, “Great post man.” Continue posting comments on the high PR blog every day or every other day and while you are doing this, go ahead and put a link to their site in your blogroll and actually click on it to get to their site. This will let the author of the blog know that you are linked to them without saying anything and they will notice you are posting on their site. Whatever you do, do not ask the site/blog author/webmaster for a links to your site upfront, they get tons of requests all day everyday with this approach and it simply does not work!

After a while it will be time to ask for them to link back to you as you have helped them out with some great relevant content on their blog. Hopefully they are cool and your site is worth linking back to and then you will have a sweet link back to your site! Give it a try, or keep sitting there and getting links from all those crappy directories you are submitting your site to!
